Julian & Olivia Oxenberg

Here We Grow!!!!

Another week, and more exciting changes around here. Julian and Olivia have put their feet down, and will only ride in the side by side stroller. They seem to sense the world as more worth exploring when they face out instead of up, and they do like being next to each other instead of in line. Julian can fully pull himself up by grabbing my shirt, then he stands very proud, if still wobbly. Olivia is also more interested in sitting and standing than laying down. We went to our local park today, a few blocks away, to see about some swings... we don't quite fit yet but you can see they liked the taste they got!

I just returned from a trip to Texas and my children are all but grown up!! Two days away and BLAMMO!!! Look at our little man Julian, sitting up in his most excellent high chair. (he truly is a hunk of burnin love) Olivia is loving the move to the side by side stroller, lots of control and she can lean forwards like a BIG GIRL!! Our living room floor is now covered with a series of bright colored foam mats for the little ones to sit on and explore, fun fun fun....

So mom and dad can't decide if people want to see "quantity" or "quality". Do our fans want to see more pictures during the week or the highlights once a week? Leave us a comment to let us know!

We celebrated Aunt Jill's birthday this weekend with 2-legged and 4-legged friends and family. Olivia's top 2 front teeth are coming in and Julian is just growing like a weed!!

Big birthday party weekend at Oxenberg Central, thanks to all those who were able to join in the celebration. Our pack and play is finally emptied of toys and can be used for its proper intention! We also lowered the mattresses in the babies' cribs. Planning for the future, which we have seen glimpses of with Julian becoming more mobile... Our bedtime routine seems to be going well and is very helpful to everyone!

These little people sure do change from week to week.  Olivia is sitting up nicely, even pulling herself up in the stroller to have a peek out the side when on walks.  Julian adds new toy mastery skills daily, and Olivia seems to enjoying gnawing on books more than having them read to her... We have entered the phase where they know when we leave their sight, that can get ugly.  8pm is now the official twins bedtime (think of it as something like GMT), with all the crying that follows.  We all needed to establish this routine, but it is difficult to endure the horrible cries, IN STEREO!!
