Here come the holidays... We had a very full and festive family day of turkey eating. Coast to coast, north to south, all in one day. It was almost more than our little ones could take. They held up their end of things until about 7:00 pm, then the slow melt down began. We are now resting, looking forward to leftover turkey, and next year when we will have more holiday stamina!
Happy Thanksgiving to all of our friends and family...
Olivia is not sure anything could taste better than her fingers and she's happy to wait until next year's turkey to find out. Julian, on the other hand, would be happy to do some damage with his TWO teeth!
With cooler weather comes the chance to wear new duds. The babies went to lunch with Grandma Pam, Aunt Jill and Mommy on Sunday. They did great but word-to-the-wise, if anyone wants to eat, three adults to two children is a good ratio. Olivia let everyone in the restaurant know that she was excited to be there and Mr. Julian was eyeing my fish-n-chips with that one tooth of his.
We have been talking about our emerging tooth for a while now...but we finally got a photo of it. Julian is very proud. Julian is also stretching out his legs, he will be a very good stand-er someday. Julian also had a staring contest with pug Emma, tough to say who won though....
Julian is expecting...a tooth! Peeking out from his gums is a first pearly white waiting to debut. He is poking at it all the time, and unfortunately it is causing some discomfort. We have some cold teething apparatuses to help. Olivia is LOVING her hands, she thrusts them into her mouth with sheer glee. Olivia has also discovered how to make a noise by pursing her lips and blowing, like a mini Dizzy Gillespie, minus the massive blown up cheeks. A sight to be seen!
Boy we're growing up fast. Julian and Olivia both give belly-laughs when you blow on their tummies. Olivia even laughs as she watches Julian laugh. Julian is intentionally reaching for objects and Olivia continues to enjoy nibbling on her own hands. Those little fingers are like candy-coated marshmallows! Oh, and Julian keeps trying to convince us to let him sleep on his belly with his tush in the air...
